month we launched a site for E Caligari and Son, a commercial and
industrial painting contractor in Norfolk, Virginia.
March 07: We're
live with a site redesign for one of the country's finest kayak
shops, Sea Kayak Georgia A
new site launch for All Star Glass & Mirror, a custom mirror
and glass company in Virginia Beach that handles shower enclosures,
mirrors, glass replacement and commercial window and door installations.
February 07: We're
live with Romance by Candlelight, a customized romantic event service
that provides special connections and memories for couples. We
just completed a redesign for a fantastic kayak and outdoor-related
destination inn, The Outdoor Inn on Tybee Island, Georgia, just
outside Savannah. It's a lovely European style inn, perfect for
families and groups that want to spend time at an unspoiled beach
island!
January
07: If
you're concerned about Avian Bird Flu you may want to check out
a new client site: Premier Avian Bird Flu Newsletter. This site
has the latest information on bird flu, prepared by health and
science professionals. It's a membership/subscription site. Noah
Automotive Specialties is now live and selling auto parts and accessories
online for import and muscle cars. Located in Virginia Beach, Noah
Automotive sells nationally with an extensive inventory and great
prices! This site uses OSCommerce for the shopping cart. We're
live with Jus'
Sell It, an eBay auction listing and selling service in Virginia
Beach that will sell your stuff on eBay for you with no hassles. We
just launched a web site and online store for Virginia
Sea Kayak Center, an online shop providing kayaking gear and equipment,
instruction and guided trips.
December
06: We launched
a redesign project and online store for Rebirth
Cleaning Services, a Norfolk company that specializes in healthy
cleaning that doesn't use harmful chemicals. We also launched Wolfe
Design Studio for one of our favorite graphic artists, Holly Wolfe. Other
projects included an online
wish list registry for Either Ore Jewelers of Kempsville and
started sites for several other clients.
November 06: We
completed a site redesign for one of our long-time clients, Adventure
BMW, a motorcycle shop serving Hampton Roads. We just launched
a new site for
the Academy of Classical and Contemporary Dance, a Chesapeake based
dance studio that focuses on educating children and adults in the
art of dance.
We're live
with Premier
Property Builders, a Virginia-based company that builds systems built
homes in and around Hampton Roads. We also created an
online component to a holiday wish list for Either Ore Jewelers of
Kempsville. Other projects live this month include a database-driven
online order processing system for a local printing company.
October 06: We're live
with Seakayakingusa.com,
a site for people interested in NDK kayaks (Nigel Dennis Kayaks),
Island Kayaks and high-quality paddling and safety gear from Expedition
Essentials.
We also launched a
site for an area landscape design and maintenance company, Knecht
Landscaping (www.tknechtlandscaping.com), and redesigned a
web site for Outdoor
Designers, a great local firm that designs and builds beautiful
pergolas (trellis), sunrooms, composite decks, screen porches and
more, www.outdoordesigners.com.
August 06: We're live with Remodeling
Solutions, an ethical business co-op of home improvement companies
in Southeast Virginia. We
launched an online store/catalog for Heirloom Botanica, a home
and garden boutique in Suffolk, including an html-based email newsletter. TCG
has been selected to conduct a site redesign for Dunlap & Partners,
a Richmond-based engineering firm. We're also working on a customer-order
interface for Best Printing of Tidewater and sites for Outdoor
Designers in Chesapeake and Premier Property Builders.
July 06: We're
live with a site for Bishard Development Corporation, a residential
home and condo developer in the sought-after areas of Virginia
Beach and Norfolk; One of our clients, Bullfrogs
and Butterflies Child Care in Virginia Beach just celebrated
their Grand Opening!; and we completed a site redesign for Magical
Solutions, Inc., a local magical entertainment company featuring
the Magic of Krendl.
June 2006 -- A quick landing page for a new Virginia
Beach company that sells and installs high-end modular homes, Premier
Property Sales of Virginia.
May 2006 -- We're live with the new web site for Living
Simply Consulting, productivity and efficiency trainers. We
also launched a web site for The
First and Ten Club of Alabama, an organization that helps student athletes
at the university prepare for careers after college sports; and Mini
Price Self Storage, a low-cost self storage business with locations
throughout Hampton Roads, Newport News, Hampton and Richmond.
March 2006 -- We're live with
the new web site for Black
Dog Gallery, specializing in 18th century period art, framing and
floorcloths.
Completed a site for More
Than a Relish, a specialty, independent food company that makes
a great
relish for any dish. We also completed a second phase of redesign
work for IntraNexus, integrating the new design with dynamic content
from a database, including secure client access. We're also working
on a site for Either Ore Jewelers of Kempsville, the First and
Ten Club of Alabama and an E-Newsletter for Living Simply Consulting,
with a web upgrade on the way.
February 2006 -- Beginning work
on a new web site for Black Dog Gallery in Virginia
Beach and for the First and Ten Club of the University
of Alabama. Selected to
develop sites for Mini
Price Self Storage, Living Simply Consulting, Nutrition Made
Easy and More Than a Relish. Completed
a site redesign for IntraNexus,
providing hospital information systems (HIS) and software for hospitals.
Wrote an article about Progressive
Window Company for an upcoming issue of Remodeling Magazine.
January 2006 -- We recently finished
a redesign project for Empower
Magic, a fund-raising solution for schools, civic groups and non-profit
organizations. This included a site restructuring, new navigation
and all-new content to target two separate audiences. We also developed
a temporary holding page for More
Than a Relish, a gourmet dipping relish and independent food vendor,
and for Either
Ore Jewelers, a jewelry store and studio.
December 2005 -- We're in the final stages of edits
for a web site for Shorewood
Shores, a new waterfront boating community on the Eastern Branch of the
Elizabeth River in Norfolk,
VA. The nine-lot development features boat slips for each home! Other
projects include copy writing for a Windows 101 guide for Progressive
Window Company, marketing copy writing for a hands-free phone system,
web redesign for an author in the TV news industry, web site redesign
and copy writing for a top mid-Atlantic entertainer and web site construction
for a Virginia Beach-based graphic artist.
November
2005 -- We recently finished the initial design for a new child
care center in Virginia Beach near the Virginia Beach City Hall and courthouse
complex,
Bullfrogs and Butterflies. Other projects include a web site for
Safe U, a personal safety education program. The web site will launch
this month. We are also developing a series of online surveys for Wolfe
Design Studios and NxtSteps Resources and are working on an intranet
site for The New York Times Company Shared Services Center.
October
2005 -- We wrapped up a large Change Management consulting
engagement for an SAP engagement and are putting the finishing touches
on a few web
sites. These include The
Power In You, a motivational speaker that gets results for businesses,
sales teams,
corporations and other groups; and Progressive
Window Company Weathershield windows, quality wood windows for new construction.
Just completed a site for a
Niche Newsletter marketing company, Niche Newsletters, and the
firm's sister site, Life
After Fifty, a newsletter that helps businesses market to seniors. Also,
a new site for Progressive
Exterior Systems, providing high quality stucco exterior systems.
We also completed newsletters for The
Newspaper Purchasing Management Association, design and layout
work for the Life After Fifty
publication by Niche Newsletters and
The New York Times Company Shared Services Center.
July,
2005 -- We're in the final stages of an SAP implementation, including managing
the training effort through a custom-designed web interface that handles
training registration, course tracking, attendance tracking, reporting
and many other features valued by trainers and management.
May,
2005 -- Site content and some design work for Superior
Floors, a firm providing hardwood floors, laminate floors and ceramic
tile sales and installation
in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Also, brochure and web site content for Mobile
Accounting USA.

Stained Glass, a company that specializes in leaded, stained and
beveled glass, working with architects, builders, designers and homeowners.
February,
2005 -- We continue to provide Change Management leadership for an SAP
implementation with a global food processing company. This project affects
more than 500 employees who will use the SAP system.

-- Site redesign for the Newspaper
Purchasing Management Association,
including a detailed PHP/MySQL database for members that allows secure
login to view a member's-only area and real-time updating of member information.
The Newspaper Purchasing Management Association is a business organization
for purchasing professionals in the newspaper, magazine and other media
businesses.

2004 -- Site redesign for Progressive

-- We are designing a web site for Hampton
Roads photographer, Georgia Obenaus Photography. Georgia specializes
in unique and memorable
photographs of weddings, people and other occasions.
June, 2004
-- We are wrapping up a site for the Martial
Arts Education Center, a martial arts facility in Chesapeake, VA. and
have completed designs for Progressive
Window Company and Innovative
Woodcraft. We are also working with ICU-Technology to
update their site.
April,
2004 -- We continue our work in Change Management and are
currently involved in reorganizing an online help system for an Oracle
HRMS application.
The project involves reviewing the help documentation, updating it to
reflect system and process changes, and re-launching the site. Other
work with this industry leader includes employee communications and strategic
training initiatives.
Other TCG projects include web sites for Progressive
Window Company, Martial Arts Education Center, Senior
Resources Group (redesign)
and Empower Magic (redesign). TCG also conducted an in-depth site analysis
for the Newspaper Purchasing Management Association.
December,
2003
-- TCG finished up a very involved engagement with Smithfield Foods,
Inc., handling communication, training and change management for the
company's Oracle HRMS implementation. We have also been selected for
another project with the company for a similar ERP system on the sales
side.
In addition, we continue to edit the Newspaper Purchasing
Management Association's newsletter and completed web sites for Brownfield
Development Company LLC, Eagles Law Firm, ICU-Technology, Christopher
Technology Consulting and Architectural Stained Glass.
TCG has been tapped to produce a web site for Innovative Woodcraft and
marketing materials
for Heriloom Botanica.
9/22/03 -- We have been very busy working through the final stages of an Oracle
HRMS implementation at Smithfield Foods, Inc. Other recent projects include
designing and implementing Web sites for Mirror Memories and Eagles
Law Firm, both in Virginia Beach. TCG also handled an internal
communications project for The New York Times Company Shared Services
Center in Norfolk.
8/11/03 --
TCG has been asked to create a web site for Virginia Beach's Progressive
Window Company. We will start with a relatively small-scale site, that
has room to grow and expand with the organization. More details coming
soon.
8/1/03
-- This week TCG completed a web site redesign for Empower Magic and
provided copy editing services for TD Madison & Associates.
We have also been tapped to provide web site designs for Facets
Jewelers in Virginia Beach,
Architectural Stained Glass and Brownfield Development.
7/17/03 --
We have been selected to develop a new web site for ICU-Technology, a
Virginia firm that provides personal security for children, adults and
personal property. Look for more information soon.
7/10/03
-- Our latest Web project is live, showcasing the services and customer
focus found at Patrick S. Yockey, CPA. We have also expanded our work
with Adventure BMW and will be handling content development and editing
for the dealership's E-club newsletter.
6/27/03 -- TCG has completed another Web project, this one for Matthews
Acres, a
subdivision outside Elizabeth City, NC. We were also called in to create
some custom animated gif graphics for
other web sites. Our work is continuing with Smithfield Foods,
inc. continues with several new aspects to employee communication
plans and materials
as the company implements and Oracle HRMS system.
6/15/03
-- We have wrapped up a Web site redesign project for On-Site
Insight Inspection Services, a local home and commercial inspection service. The second
phase of the
project includes developing an interactive database to house inspection
reports that clients can access via a username and password.
In the past few days we also delivered new web content
for Magical Solutions. The new content focuses the firm's Web site on
a growing section of business, corporate clients. We also launched and early release of the Visions Hair
Studio and Day Spa Web site. This site involves clean lines and a classic
look, which will soon be complimented by outstanding photography. The
initial launch is to help generate excitement the construction of a new
salon.
Finally, we are in the final review for an upscale
home development, Matthews Acres, for Custom Homes of
Carolina. Look for a link in the next week or so. 6/3/03 -- This week we are
working on several web projects, including sites for two new clients:
an area real estate developer and local home inspector.
We also provided copy writing, digital photography and layout services
to Senior Resources Group for an existing web
site to showcase a new
product offering. Finally, we are working on a database-driven secure
login script
to allow
access
to restricted web sites and downloads.
5/27/03 --
Thomas Communications Group provided four newsletter design drafts to
the Newspaper Purchasing Management Association last week and this week
we expect to narrow down the design ideas and being producing a template.
Initial reactions were very positive. We are also working on drafts for
our employee communication project with an international specialty food
company and we have started a Web site re-write project for a regional
entertainer and corporate presenter. Finally, we have placed a temporary
home page online for one of our web clients, Visions
Hair Studio and Day Spa and are finalizing content for another web client.
5/15/03 --
We wrapped up a four-panel two-color brochure in just a few days this
week, a good example of how Thomas Communications can meet your needs.
We received a call Monday morning from a non-profit group that needed
a four-page, 8 1/2 x 11 brochure with a quick turnaround. We were able
to quickly and economically produce the brochure, prompting the client
to state, "Thank you for turning this around for me so quickly.
It has provided me a lot of stress relief. Again, awesome
work considering what you were working with to begin."
5/4/03 -- This week we are working with a new client
-- a national purchasing management association. Thomas Communications
Group is designing a new newsletter for the organization. Work continues
on two Web site development projects as well, and an employee communications
project.
4/29/03 -- Phase two of a major employee and management
communications plan gets under way this week. Thomas Communications Group
is developing a training aid for a new time card format. This will help
managers understand how to fill out the time cards to better take advantage
of data entry into an Oracle HR system. Additional materials include communications
to employees to explain a new paystub format and earnings and deduction
codes.
4/21/03 -- We are working on several new projects this
month, including a web site for a Norfolk-based CPA firm and a local hair
studio and spa. We are also getting ready to launch phase two of an employee
and management communications plan to support an Oracle system rollout
for a major specialty food company. This project involves employee communications
announcing a new paystub and new paystub features, as well as management
training guides for new administrative processes.
